1. Start-Up Intern
Sprout is looking to hire 2-3 interns for the spring/summer, with responsibilities to include: social media management, administrative work, marketing support, basic website maintenance, writing/blogging, and event logistics. Must be a self-starter, comfortable in an unstructured environment, and have strong web/computer/social media experience. Position can be remote, but preferably in the DC/VA area. Must have access to internet, computer, and transportation. Position will be part-time to full-time, from March – August, with the possibility of additional work to follow. 2. Carpenters & Carpentry Assistants
Sprout is looking to hire 2-3 skilled carpenters with strong experience and understanding of fundamental building skills. Must have own tools (including a miter saw and nail gun), and ideally will have a truck that can haul lumber and other heavy materials. Also looking for carpentry assistants who are quick learners and have some experience with building; not necessary to have own tools/truck. Position will be part-time to full-time, from March – June, with the possibility of additional work to follow. Compensation is start-up competitive, and commensurate with experience. 3. Gardening Assistants
Sprout is looking to hire 2-3 garden assistants to handle planting and maintenance of our clients’ edible gardens. Must have 3+ years of experience with vegetable gardening, and preferably experienced with organic growing methods. Should have own basic gardening tools (hand trowel, cultivator, clippers, etc), and must have transportation. Work will be on-site at our clients’ gardens in the Arlington/Alexandria/Fairfax area. Position will be part-time from March – October, with the possibility of additional work. Compensation is start-up competitive, and commensurate with experience.
